In Singapore, it is known that 1 out of 3 deaths is associated with heart disease and stroke. That means you have a 33% chance dying from cardiovascular disease. While many cultures do not demonstrate high death rate from heart disease, it is the leading cause of death in Singapore for both men and women. And this is a bad news. However, the good news is that if you understand the cause of the disease and the contributing factors, it is a highly preventable disease. There is nothing natural about dying from heart disease; after all it is a disease of modern life that stemmed from poor dietary and lifestyle habits.
